Bienvenidos, Welcome

Hi! Welcome to Dianita's Irreverent Feminist. I guess the first step after my peppy greeting is to introduce myself. My name is Dianita and I am from Honduras, well my mom is from Honduras and my dad is from Italy. (Sorry, I don't mean to sound like those people who are like, wow you are from Honduras? My great-granfather was one-quarter Peruvian!) I am a non-politically correct feminist. Labeling, I know. I was inspired to start this blog because sites like Feministing.com, even though I love them, are way, way too politically correct. They wouldn't even let me say the word "lame" because it is "ableist" langauge. Whatever. If you know the history and correct meaning of the word you would know it is not. Anyhow. I hope in this blog we can discuss not only feminism, but everything ranging from being 24 and unemployed (me!) to the lack of beer commercials catering to women, to how being multi-cultural can be an awesome, yet hard experience.
